I’m thrilled you found our website and look forward to the opportunity to work with you. I am a licensed counselor with a Master’s degree in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University and a Master’s in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. I spent 15 years working with college students in student development, and as a professor and counselor. In that time, I gained experience that helped me develop specialties in grief and loss, spiritual and identity formation, anxiety, and trauma. Over the past 6 years, EMDR has become an integral tool in my practice, and I am an EMDRIA Certified therapist and Approved Consultant.

I view counseling as part of a journey. Sometimes in life, the journey gets rocky, foggy and difficult and we need help navigating those seasons. It is my hope to help my clients embrace the pain that is a necessary part of change and to navigate the difficult seasons successfully. I take a holistic approach to counseling, looking at all aspects of my clients and their situations.
Personally, I am not a native of Colorado, but I got here as soon as I could. I was born in Mexico but grew up in southern California. After college, my own journey landed me in Colorado Springs, where I have lived for the past 25 years. I have been married for over two decades and have three energetic teenagers who keep me grounded and daily teach me so much about myself. I love the ocean but am also continually in awe of the majestic mountains that I get to call home.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
