Life's Journey Counseling watermark

Eva Bergholz

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Liberty University and am currently in pursuit of my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a CACREP accredited program. I hold a certification in psychological first aid and am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and Colorado Counseling Association. My background incorporates working as a mentor for an adolescent recovery program, substitute teaching in middle and high school, military life, and leadership in ministry. It was my personal journey of healing that inspired the pursuit of encouraging others by walking alongside them with hope and reassurance.

Intern, Liberty University.

I work with individuals and teens. I have a comprehensive therapeutic approach, integrating research-based theories of cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavior, person-centered, narrative, and existential theories, tailored to best fit each client’s specific needs. I believe in a holistic view of a person’s wellness that encompasses relational, mental, physical, spiritual, and environmental aspects. I aspire to create a safe and warm atmosphere for clients, inviting them into a collaborative and empowering therapy process. I believe in hope-instilled healing which can come through recovery that starts with acceptance and admittance and is built upon in relationship. The first step is always the hardest, but you are worth it.

I have an authentic, outgoing personality and easily connect with others. I genuinely enjoy serving people and have come to really know and love myself well. I am originally from Jersey and moved to Colorado thirteen years ago as a military spouse. I am most proud of my role as a mother and find my personal strength in my faith. When I am not counseling, I appreciate time with my kids, teaching Zumba, mountain biking, serving at church, and relaxing.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive. And to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style.
