YOUR ANXIETY TOOLKIT Podcast
with Kimberley Quinlan

Your Anxiety Toolkit is a podcast dedicated to offering research based techniques that support struggles with anxiety, depression, panic, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, intrusive thoughts, and the mental health mountains that often occur with these energy-sucking challenges. This podcast offers a range of helpful strategies that many have found quite effective in soothing the mind or in giving strength to face the difficult thing. Kimberley often ends the podcast with her mantra, “It is a beautiful day to do hard things.” Listeners find themselves believing they really can face the “hard” in life after hearing Kimberley’s stories and time-tested techniques. She is an expert herself in the science of anxiety, but she also continues to grow her listener’s knowledge base as she interviews experts in many of the nuances in this field of this work.

Kimberley exudes compassion for her audience and is passionate about empowering others. Listeners, who have struggled with repetitive thoughts or behaviors, an anxious mind, panic attacks, or a variety of other symptoms, start to find tremendous relief knowing that others have faced these same exact challenges and found that they do not have to get pulled under. No longer are they feeling like they are stuck in quick sand, and will forever be stuck. The path forward is offered with both clarity and compassion.

Kimberley does not shy away from some of the most suffocating struggles that entrap our minds. Yet she coats all of these hard topics with the most tender, positive, and sunny disposition, not to mention her lovable Australian accent. Her sugar-saturated disposition is juxtaposed within the challenging  topics she dares to take on and the deep truths she delivers. Rather than sugar-coating her message though, she shares how difficult the task ahead will be. She does all this with an optimistic outlook, but her positivity is based on the confidence she has in humanity to do the hard thing; it is the very opposite of the toxic positivity rooted in denial, (which only sours people). Rather, Kimberley’s optimism is rooted in something so deep and so true that listeners find it profoundly encouraging.

The podcast contains topics such as mindfulness, meditation, recognizing mental compulsions, self-criticism traps, why the brain won’t let things go, the reinforcing traps we fall into, panic attacks, anticipatory anxiety, the power of self-compassion, and how to make exposures doable and effective, etc. For listeners wanting tools and support on a daily basis, this podcast offers a free way to enhance growth, freedom, and create changes that will be lasting.
